Sun TV Network Ltd share price softened by 0.79% to Rs 483.35. The Company`s net profit saw a strong growth of 166.45% to Rs 619.07 crore, while revenue from operations gained significantly 65.20% to Rs 1457.88 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of TV Broadcasting & Software Production industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 37721.06 crore, rising 8.59%. It has slipped by 2.32% over last one week and eased lower by 6.86% in last one month while the market capitalization of Sun TV Network Ltd has eased by 1.99% and 7.75% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of Sun TV Network Ltd stood at Rs 817.56 crore in Q2 FY26, expanding by 17.73% year-on-year, and rallying 153.49% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 559 crore, jumping 29.82% YoY and surging by 92.02% sequentially. Total expenses witnessed a sharp rise of 38.76% to Rs 818.37 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, employee benefits expense was at Rs 85.27 crore, inching up 0.74% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations declined slightly by 6.12% to Rs 4019.87 crore, while net profit declined by 11.55% to Rs 1703.42 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA jumped by 214095% to Rs 1433.82 crore, and PBT fell 15.17% to Rs 2216.62 crore compared to previous TTM. The company`s consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 1663.08 crore in FY26, as against Rs 2171.3 crore in FY25. Sun TV Network Ltd plunged by 15.14% in last one year, underperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has softened by 3.04% during the same period.

Sun TV Network will hold a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company on 12 August 2026.

The board of SunRisers Leeds (SRL) (Previously known as Northern Superchargers), a wholly owned subsidiary of Sun TV Network, at its meeting held on 21 July 2026, has approved a bonus issue of 99,999 equity shares of face value of 1 GBP each to Sun TV Network. Post completion of bonus issue, Sun TV Network will hold 1,00,000 equity shares of face value of 1 GBP each in SRL. There will be no change in the percentage of shareholding of the company in SRL. It will continue to remain a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company.

Net profit of Sun TV Network declined 37.43% to Rs 232.02 crore in the quarter ended March 2026 as against Rs 370.79 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2025. Sales declined 6.30% to Rs 882.51 crore in the quarter ended March 2026 as against Rs 941.81 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2025.For the full year,net profit declined 15.42% to Rs 1439.58 crore in the year ended March 2026 as against Rs 1702.08 crore during the previous year ended March 2025. Sales rose 7.83% to Rs 4334.82 crore in the year ended March 2026 as against Rs 4019.87 crore during the previous year ended March 2025.
