REC Ltd share price ticked higher by 1.48% to Rs 298.0 after the company`s net profit dropped 17.05% to Rs 3477.73 crore, while revenue from operations improved marginally 3.92% to Rs 15000.4 crore in Q3FY26 over Q2FY26. The market capitalization of Financial Institution industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 4.54 lakh crore, gaining 0.63%. It has eased by 4.11% over last one week and crashed 20.11% in last one month while the market capitalization of REC Ltd has softened by 1.32% and 20.34% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of REC Ltd stood at Rs 4391.14 crore in Q3 FY26, tanking 20.87% year-on-year, and tumbling by 16.65% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 4378 crore, nosediving by 20.92% YoY and plunging by 15.91% sequentially. Total expenses advancing by 15.41% to Rs 10619.29 crore in Q3FY26 over Q3FY25. During the quarter, employee benefits expense was at Rs 76.5 crore, easing 3.03% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations tick up 5.71% to Rs 59584.16 crore, while net profit grew slightly 2.67% to Rs 16308.17 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA witnessed a strong improvement of 2000856% to Rs 20723.28 crore, and PBT saw a minor gain of 3.23% to Rs 20766.33 crore compared to previous TTM. REC Ltd tumbled by 20.30% in last one year, underperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has slipped by 13.18% during the same period.
