Bharat Heavy Electricals has received a Limited Notice to Proceed (LNTP) from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), Kolkata, of 1x800 MW Durgapur supercritical thermal power station, for initiating the advance engineering and ordering of critical long lead items under Main plant package for this project. The contract is valued at Rs 90 crore.

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has received a Notification of Award (NOA) from Meja Urja Nigam Private (MUNPL) for 3x800 MW Meja STPP Stage-II (EPC package). The scope of the work includes design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning works for the EPC package. The contract is valued over Rs 21,000 crore. Meja Urja Nigam Private is a joint venture company between NTPC and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (UPRVUNL).

Bharat Heavy Electricals announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on 04 May 2026, has recommended a Final Dividend of Rs.1.40 per share (i.e.70%), subject to the approval of the shareholders.

Net profit of Bharat Heavy Electricals rose 155.82% to Rs 1290.47 crore in the quarter ended March 2026 as against Rs 504.45 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2025. Sales rose 36.88% to Rs 12310.37 crore in the quarter ended March 2026 as against Rs 8993.37 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2025.For the full year,net profit rose 199.73% to Rs 1600.26 crore in the year ended March 2026 as against Rs 533.90 crore during the previous year ended March 2025. Sales rose 19.21% to Rs 33782.18 crore in the year ended March 2026 as against Rs 28339.48 crore during the previous year ended March 2025.
