Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited announced that Y Srinivasa Rao, Executive Director (HPEP), Hyderabad, has superannuated from the company’s services on September 24, 2026, and Chiƫmouj Gowri Shankar has been appointed as General Manager & Head (HPVP), Visakhapatnam, effective September 25, 2026, reporting to Director (IS & P).

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has signed a Joint Venture Agreement with Titagarh Rail Systems Limited today, September 15, 2026, to form a Joint Venture Company (JVC) for comprehensive maintenance of supplied Vande Bharat Sleeper Trainsets for 35 years, with BHEL and Titagarh Rail Systems Limited holding a 50% share each. The JVC will have an initial paid-up share capital of Rs 50,00,000 and will be incorporated as a Private Limited Company with its registered office in Delhi.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited announced that its board approved a further equity investment of Rs 65 crore in NTPC BHEL Power Projects Private Limited (NBPPL), a joint venture with NTPC Limited, in one or more tranches. NBPPL, incorporated in April 2008, has a turnover of Rs 1.04 crore for the fiscal year 2025-26 and is involved in executing EPC contracts for power plants and manufacturing power plant equipment; the investment is intended to enable settlement of urgent liabilities and maintain NBPPL as a going concern.
