Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd share price slipped 1.50% to Rs 230.5 after the company`s net profit contracted by 12.19% to Rs 159.52 crore, while revenue from operations plunged by 35.46% to Rs 4321.23 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Civil Construction industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 9.34 lakh crore, falling 14.40%. It has marginally improved by 0.78% over last one week and moved up slightly by 0.84% in last one month while the market capitalization of Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd has eased by 0.65% and 19.15% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd stood at Rs 223.54 crore in Q2 FY26, rallying 28.91% year-on-year, and dropping 10.71% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 44 crore, crashing by 124.85% YoY and plunging by 76.27% sequentially. Total expenses saw a steep drop of 35.58% to Rs 4147.03 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 62.81 crore, tumbling by 64.34% YoY, while employee benefits expense was at Rs 54.34 crore, jumping 18.18% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations tick up 2.45% to Rs 20412.12 crore, while net profit tumbled by 31.86% to Rs 870.66 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA witnessed a strong improvement of 12980% to Rs 7.75 crore, and PBT tanked by 28.25% to Rs 1181.24 crore compared to previous TTM. The company`s consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 1893.93 crore in FY26, as against Rs 1878.19 crore in FY25. Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd crashed 32.71% in last one year, underperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has slipped by 2.56% during the same period.

Rail Vikas Nigam has received Letter of Award of contract from NMDC for Setting up of Buffer Stockpiles & Blending Yard of 10 MTPA handling capacity at Vizag, Andhra Pradesh. The order is valued at Rs 2977 crore including GST@ 18%.

Rail Vikas Nigam has received LOA from East Coast Railway for �3rd and 4th line between Nergundi Barang (22Km) and Khurda Road-Vizianagaram (363Km) on Bhadrak- Vizianagaram section (385Km): Construction of important Bridge nos. 539 (16x30.5m Open Web Steel Girder over river Birupa at ch.402521m), 544 (32x65.84m Open Web Steel Girder over river Mahanadi at ch.406305m), 553 (18x45.70m Open Web Steel Girder over river Kathjori at ch.411589m), 557 (20x45.70m Open Web Steel Girder over river Kuakhai at ch.414607m) on EPC mode.� The contract is valued at Rs 967.92 crore.
