VA TECH WABAG LIMITED announced that its board approved the allotment of 13,404 equity shares of INR 2/- each to option grantees under the “WABAG Centenary Stock Option Scheme 2023,” increasing the company’s paid-up equity share capital to INR 12,49,83,136 consisting of 6,24,91,568 equity shares from INR 12,49,56,328 consisting of 6,24,78,164 equity shares.

VA TECH WABAG LIMITED announced that its Board of Directors approved a change in designation for Mr. Rohan Mittal to “Chief Commercial & Development Officer – MEA,” effective September 01, 2026. Mr. Mittal, who holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Alagappa College of Technology, has been with VA TECH WABAG LIMITED for approximately eight years and has been instrumental in securing several landmark projects in the Middle East, including the Al -Haer ISTP, Yanbu SWRO, and Hadda ISTP facilities.

Va Tech Wabag Ltd share price softened by 1.25% to Rs 1949.6 after the company`s net profit tanked by 29.61% to Rs 90.1 crore, while revenue from operations dropped sharply 37.30% to Rs 886.8 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Water Supply & Management industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 19393.18 crore, crashing by 18.57%. It has slipped by 4.05% over last one week and jumped by 20.06% in last one month while the market capitalization of Va Tech Wabag Ltd has eased by 2.64% and 40.43% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of Va Tech Wabag Ltd stood at Rs 118.2 crore in Q2 FY26, surging by 36.33% year-on-year, and plunging by 30.43% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 28 crore, tumbling by 67.38% YoY and nosediving by 78.09% sequentially. Total expenses saw a steep drop of 35.73% to Rs 808.9 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, employee benefits expense was at Rs 79.7 crore, seeing a marginal contraction of 0.62% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations improved 19.74% to Rs 3944.2 crore, while net profit jumped 25.44% to Rs 369.8 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA witnessed a strong improvement of 37700% to Rs 383.1 crore, and PBT surged 27.11% to Rs 488.6 crore compared to previous TTM. The company`s consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 206.7 crore in FY26, as against Rs 355.2 crore in FY25. Va Tech Wabag Ltd surged by 27.75% in last one year, significantly outperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has eased by 3.04% during the same period.

Va Tech Wabag will hold a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company on 12 August 2026.

Va Tech Wabag secured from the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB), awards towards Design, Build, Operate (DBO) of a 100 MLD and 60 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Byramangala and Bellandur respectively, along with a 25 MLD Tertiary Treatment Plant (TTP) at Byramangala. The scope includes the Design, Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPC) of the wastewater treatment facilities along with biogas-based power generation. The STPs will be based on the Activated Sludge Process integrated with a Biological Nutrient Removal system. The TTP at Byramangala will utilize Ultrafiltration to produce high-quality treated water suitable for distribution to surrounding water bodies. It is worth noting that, WABAG had previously executed the first phase of the Bellandur facility and has now been awarded the second phase as well. The EPC scope of the facilities is scheduled for completion within 36 months, followed by a 7-year Operations and Maintenance (O&M) period, during which WABAG will ensure efficient and reliable plant performance. The Wastewater Treatment facilities at Byramangala and Bellandur will significantly strengthen Bengaluru`s wastewater treatment and water infrastructure, addressing the city`s growing challenges arising from rapid urbanization. The facility will incorporate anaerobic sludge digestion with biogas based captive power generation, reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, lowering the plant`s energy footprint, enhancing operational efficiency, and promoting resource recovery. By integrating the treatment technologies with renewable energy generation, the project will support Bengaluru`s long term water security while advancing its sustainability and circular economy objectives.
