The board of Canara Bank in its meeting held today on 02 June 2026 has approved the Capital Raising Plan of the Bank for the financial year 2026-27 amounting upto Rs.8,500 crore by way of Debt Instruments (Additional Tier I/Tier II Bonds). Further, out of the above Capital Raising Plan, the Board of Directors of the Bank has approved the following: To raise Capital through Basel III Compliant Additional Tier I Bonds to the extent of Rs.4,500 crore during the FY 2026-27, subject to market conditions and necessary approvals. To raise Capital through Basel III Compliant Tier II Bonds to the extent of Rs.4,000 crore during the FY 2026-27, subject to market conditions and necessary approvals.

Canara Bank will hold a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company on 2 June 2026.

Canara Bank announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on 11 May 2026, inter alia, have recommended the final dividend of Rs 4.2 per equity Share (i.e. 210%) , subject to the approval of the shareholders.

Net profit of Canara Bank declined 9.78% to Rs 4574.23 crore in the quarter ended March 2026 as against Rs 5070.19 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2025. Total Operating Income rose 1.09% to Rs 31838.54 crore in the quarter ended March 2026 as against Rs 31495.57 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2025.For the full year,net profit rose 1.90% to Rs 17872.88 crore in the year ended March 2026 as against Rs 17539.62 crore during the previous year ended March 2025. Total Operating Income rose 3.92% to Rs 126371.20 crore in the year ended March 2026 as against Rs 121601.12 crore during the previous year ended March 2025.
