Canara Bank informed the Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange of India that the United Forum of Bank Unions, comprising AIBEA, AIBOC, BEFI, NCBE, AIBOA, INBEF, and INBOC, has declared a strike on September 11, 2026, September 28-30, 2026, and a continuous strike from October 26, 2026, which may affect the functioning of the bank’s branches and offices.

Canara Bank informed the Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange that Sunil Kumar Yadav has been promoted to Chief General Manager, effective September 1, 2026, according to a regulatory filing. Yadav, who began his career with the bank in September 2000, previously held the position of General Manager and possesses professional certifications from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance.
