Axis Bank Limited announced the appointment of K. S. Giridhar as an additional Non-Executive (Nominee) Director to its Board of Directors, effective August 14, 2026, replacing Mini Ipe who previously held the position. K. S. Giridhar, age 60, was nominated by Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) and is currently Executive Director (P & GS) of LIC, overseeing assets under management exceeding approximately Rs 14 trillion.

Axis Bank announced that Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), promoter of the Bank has withdrawn the nomination of Mini Ipe (DIN: 07791184) as their nominee on the Board of Directors of the Bank (Board) with effect from 29 July 2026. Accordingly, she has ceased to be director on the Board with effect from the said date.

Axis Bank has allotted 116,524 equity shares under ESOP on 21 July 2026. Consequently, the paid up equity share capital has increased to Rs. 6,222,166,390 (3,111,083,195 equity shares of Rs. 2/- each).

Net profit of Axis Bank rose 22.24% to Rs 7632.31 crore in the quarter ended June 2026 as against Rs 6243.72 crore during the previous quarter ended June 2025.
