Promoter Jaydeep Vinod Mehta has created a pledge over 38,30,323 equity shares, representing 25.50% of the total share capital, in Emerald Leisures Limited, according to a regulatory filing with the BSE Ltd. on August 19, 2026; Mehta’s total shareholding in the company is 46,74,566 equity shares, which represents 31.13% of the total share capital of 1,50,18,600 shares, and the pledge was created as security for debentures issued by Emerald Leisures Limited.

Emerald Leisures Ltd share price inched up 1.94% to Rs 257.35 after the company`s net profit surged by 304.69% to Rs 2.59 crore, while revenue from operations nosedived 33.20% to Rs 3.46 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Hotels & Resorts industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 2.42 lakh crore, plunging by 18.08%. It has softened by 2.01% over last one week and moved up slightly by 6.48% in last one month while the market capitalization of Emerald Leisures Ltd has significantly gained 23.60% and 41.40% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of Emerald Leisures Ltd stood at Rs 2.59 crore in Q2 FY26, rising 2.78% year-on-year, and jumping 304.69% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 1 crore, tumbling by 54.40% YoY and tanking 82.41% sequentially. Total expenses surged 28.57% to Rs 2.97 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 2.72 crore, registering a fall of 48.29% YoY, while employee benefits expense was at Rs 0.66 crore, tanking by 12% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations grew 10.13% to Rs 16.52 crore, while net profit tanked by 20.74% to Rs 8.56 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA jumped by 277% to Rs 7.04 crore, and PBT collapsed by 20.74% to Rs 8.56 crore compared to previous TTM. The company`s consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 6.25 crore in FY26, as against Rs 18.34 crore in FY25. Emerald Leisures Ltd rallied 9.53% in last one year, significantly outperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has softened by 3.05% during the same period.
