Capital Infra Trust has reaffirmed its issuer rating as “CARE AAA/Stable” by CARE Ratings Limited, according to a disclosure filed with the Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange of India on August 26, 2026. The rating is based on the company’s operational and financial performance for the fiscal year 2026 and the first quarter of fiscal year 2027.

A valuation report for Capital Infra Trust (CIT) reveals a leveraged financial structure and potential legal and operational risks. As of June 30, 2026, the trust holds a 100% equity stake in twelve Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), including GNHPL, GKBHPL, and HHHPL, with outstanding debt to the SPVs totaling tens of billions of Indian rupees. The report, prepared by valuer Mr. S. Sundararaman (IBBI Registration Number IBBI/RV/06/2018/10238), also details ongoing Goods and Services Tax (GST), Income Tax, and litigation cases involving several SPVs, along with forecasts for major repairs needed between 2027 and 2040. Capital Infra Trust announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on 21 July 2026, inter alia, have recommended the final dividend of Rs 2.32 per equity Share (i.e. 2.343434%) , subject to the approval of the shareholders.
