NTPC Green Energy will hold a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company on 22 July 2026.

NTPC Green Energy, a subsidiary of NTPC, announced the declaration of commercial operation of first part capacity of 50.4 MW of Vanki Wind Energy Project located in Nakhatrana, Kutch, Gujarat of NTPC Renewable Energy, a stepdown subsidiary of NTPC w.e.f. 00:00 hrs of 8 July 2026.With this, the total installed capacity of NTPC group stands at 90,954 MW and commercial capacity at 89,874 MW.

NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy (NGEL), has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with PTC India for the sale of 1,200 MW of solar power under a bilateral arrangement.The agreement marks a significant milestone in strengthening collaboration between the two organizations to promote clean and sustainable energy in India.

 NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy, shall be developing a 250 MW Solar Power Project integrated with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on vacant defence land at Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh.The power generated from the project shall be utilised by various defence establishments across Uttar Pradesh.

Net profit of NTPC Green Energy declined 15.51% to Rs 197.05 crore in the quarter ended March 2026 as against Rs 233.22 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2025. Sales rose 46.66% to Rs 912.63 crore in the quarter ended March 2026 as against Rs 622.27 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2025.For the full year,net profit rose 9.91% to Rs 522.60 crore in the year ended March 2026 as against Rs 475.48 crore during the previous year ended March 2025. Sales rose 29.36% to Rs 2858.42 crore in the year ended March 2026 as against Rs 2209.64 crore during the previous year ended March 2025.
