Before you commit to pledging any of your stocks, you can now see a real-time preview of the margin you will generate. This allows you to make more informed decisions about your pledging strategy, ensuring that you can optimize your margin requirements and avoid any surprises.
2. Scrips Available for Pledge: Effortless Pledging
With our new feature, you can easily check the list of scrips available for pledge directly from your Demat account. Whether you have a large or small portfolio, you can now view all the eligible scrips in one place — no more tedious searching or guesswork.
By selecting multiple scrips in one go, you can pledge them all at once and unlock the margin potential immediately. This streamlined process saves time and effort, enabling you to focus on what matters most — your trades.

Once you pledge your stocks, your limits will be updated instantly. 5. Pledge Eligible Scrips and Haircut Percentage: Full Transparency
Now you can view list of all pledge-eligible scrips where pledge is allowed by HDFC Securities along with the haircut percentage for each. This transparency allows you to better understand the value of stocks and how much margin you can access from them. By knowing the applicable haircut percentages, you can make more informed decisions about how to maximize your margin potential.
How to Use Real-Time Margin Pledge in Our App?
- Navigate to the Margin Pledge section in the app.
- Select the stocks you want to pledge as collateral.
- Confirm the pledge request, and you will be redirected to the respective DP website (NSDL/CDSL) to complete the transaction.
- Once authenticated, the margin will be available instantly.
- To unpledge, simply request release of pledged securities, and the process will be completed in real time.
